Net2Work Pader
UgandaNet2Work Uganda runs a successful and popular 3-month full-time training course in IT and job skills for 25 young people aged 16-24. Net2Work Pader Net2Work is currently providing vital IT and job skills training to ex-child soldiers and other war-affected youth so that they can make progress in their education and learn skills which will help them find employment.

The project consists of running a number of 3 month long courses training people in computer packages, such as MS Word, Excel etc. Teaching is also provided such that students gain necessary skills in order to be able to apply for jobs.

Moyo Baptist Youth Association Oxen Project
Uganda map with Moyo labelFunding has been agreed for a project working with youth affected by the on-going conflict in the north of Uganda, teaching specifics regarding farming the land using Oxen and ploughs.

This is an important lesson for many young people, as for many, their entire lives have consisted of life in camps, where food has come through Aid organisations, and as such, have never learned the basics of farming - something that will be a requirement of survival as people move from the camps back to their villages.

Update:
Two oxen have been purchased for the project, along with a plough and components for it, and training has begun. Cultivation of the land is, however, yet to begin, due to delayed rains this season.
