Heart of Compassion Trust - Working in Northern Uganda among the many people affected by conflict

Heart of Compassion Trust supports the activities, work or ethos of the following organisations:

Oasis Uganda is an organisation close to the heart of some of the Heart of Compassion Trust trustees, due to personal relationships built up at various points in the past. Heart of Compassion Trust also supports a project run by Oasis Uganda, in Pader (see the Current Projects page for more details). Aims of Oasis Uganda include:

"...to nurture an environment of holistic development for vulnerable people through education, community development, skills development and entrepreneurship, health and HIV/AIDS, advocacy and resource development to enable people to reach their God-given potential."

Gulu Walk is an organisation which aims to raise awareness of the situation regarding the people of Northern Uganda, with a particular focus on the night commuters - a vision that is very much relevant to the work that the Heart of Compassion Trust is doing.

CMS is an influential organisation who stand in solidarity with the people of northern Uganda. Whether it is running campaigns in the UK, such as their Break the Silence campaign aimed at breaking the international silence surrounding the conflict in northern Uganda or sponsoring an LRA-returnee project in Kitgum District, they are committed to supporting the very people who need their support.
