Heart of Compassion Trust - Working in Northern Uganda among the many people affected by conflict

Since Christmas Eve, the LRA seems to have stepped up its activities, with reports that at least 620 Congolese civilians have been killed, and more than 160 children abducted (according to a BBC News Report). As part of these attacks, it has been revealed that the LRA burnt down a church with people inside. As a response to the LRA mobilising in this way, troops from Uganda, DR Congo and South Sudan launched offensives on the LRA.

After such a sustained time of relative peace we must continue to pray that peace would be restored, and particularly that these atrocities would cease.
