Our Vision

To bring an end to suffering, poverty and conflict in northern Uganda by empowering the region’s children and young people to grow in heart, mind, soul and strength.

Mission Statement
In order to see an end to suffering, poverty and conflict in northern Uganda, as Heart of Compassion Trust, we aim to foster holistic growth in the people of northern Uganda. That is; growth in heart, mind, soul and strength (The Bible, Mark 12:30). This will be achieved by empowering the most vulnerable and/or disadvantaged children in educational support and other developmental projects.

Support for these projects is established by pursuing four components:

• Raising awareness: communicating an account of past events and current developments to supporters and the general public in the UK.
• Raising prayer: establishing the prayer needs of those we serve in northern Uganda and releasing a network of people in the UK, and elsewhere, to pray for those needs.
• Raising funds: determining the financial requirements of the projects we support and satisfying those requirements through specific fundraising events and ongoing fundraising schemes.
• Raising standards through a periodic appraisal of our vision, procedures and operations, we endeavour to constantly improve the way in which we and our Ugandan partner groups function.
